Evans School of Public Policy & Governance

For nearly 20 years, the Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy (NBEC) has elevated the nonprofit and social impact sectors through research, education, and leadership development. The nonprofit sector has grown considerably over this time and now plays a more central role in shaping public policy and in society as a whole. To reflect this evolution, NBEC’s work will become integrated into the school’s mission to co-create solutions to pressing societal problems. NBEC will sunset but the work will very much live on.

Many thinkers and doers have been part of NBEC over the years, none more than Nancy Bell Evans herself. Their individual and collective impact will be felt for years to come.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Our work to support high-quality leadership in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector will continue as we expand access to our Executive MPA program and develop new flexible offerings that allow wider access to our flagship instructional team.

Thanks to the generous support of the sponsors listed below, for 13 years the Evans School hosted and graduated more than 300 nonprofit leaders from our Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute (NELI) and Propel Leadership Institute. We are tremendously grateful to our sponsors, who gave hundreds of nonprofit leaders across our region the opportunity to invest in themselves, their leadership skills, serve at their greatest capacity, and further advance the public good.
